The web site itcl.es is based on the criteria of standard accessibility (AA) dictated by the WAI (Web Accessibility Initiative) when is developed by means of the Guidelines of Accessibility to the Content in the Web (WCAG) elaborated by the Consortium for the World Wide Web (W3C).
The aim of this methodology is to reduce the barriers of the information facilitating the access to the contents for any user independently of the technological, physical or cognitive limitations.
The accessibility of a web site is directly tied to the usabilidad of the same one. Both base on a correct design and a suitable codification adapted to the international standards.
ITCL realizes a great effort to assume the most strict criteria of accessible development in order to extend our contents to the major possible number of users. The use of the Web has spread to many areas of the society turning into an important tool for the information and the competitiveness. This tool must be accessible to provide equality of opportunities to the persons with disability and this way to achieve an equitable participation of all the persons in the society.
The Law 51/2003 (LIOUNDAU), of equality of opportunities, not discrimination and universal accessibility of the persons with disability, establishes the gradual and progressive obligation of which all the environments, products and services must be opened, accessible and practicable for all the persons.
For these motives we include the criteria of accessibility in the projects that we develop for our clients in order to take part in the construction of an accessible fabric for Internet.
